Moderated by Friday Girl TV host, October Rose, the panel discussion featured an esteemed panel of media professionals: Nina Brown (On-Air Personality 11Alive), Saptosa Foster (Managing Partner 135th Street Agency), Nicci Gilbert (Former lead singer of Brownstone and C.E.O. of No Ego Entertainment), Angela Gomes (Writer, Producer & Director for TV & Film), Renee Knorr (Fashion & Beauty Director, 19th Hole Magazine) and Jazzy McBee (On-Air Personality at Hot 107.9). 
Panelists discussed the process of defining womanhood for themselves and considered the challenges presented by current, popular representations of women of color in media. Both panelists and audience members ended the event by reading the Legacy Pledge written by Jaha Asante which reaffirmed the women’s commitment to creating and upholding positive images for women of color.
